Our Finances

The Good Mood Foundation desires to become a member of ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) at www.ECFA.org  . This organization was founded in 1979 to bring financial integrity and accountability to the Christian non-profit sector. ECFA has set high standards for membership and its roster of members includes many well known Christian ministries. Application for membership can begin when a non-profit is receiving $100,000 or more in donations in a single year. As of this writing 5/4/2008 we have not yet reached the $100,000 benchmark but we are prayerfully hopeful that someday soon we will be able to join ECFA.

Every ministry is different and so are each ministry’s efforts for producing operating revenue. The bottom line is that the Good Mood Foundation is not or will not be in the business of producing proprietary resources—to sell. Instead, what we produce will be given away for free. The first resource we have produced and are giving away is my (Mike Attar’s) book entitled My Pursuit of a Good Mood. Additionally, our ministry refers our clients to other ministries (see “Resources” on the toolbar).  We do not receive compensation for these referrals or a commission if you buy anything from that ministry.

If You Are Led, Please Give

We anticipate  that  three  groups  of  people  will  give  to  the  ministry  of  the  Good  Mood Foundation:

Sympathetic people give because the Good Mood Foundation is helping those who deal with mood struggles. Therefore, if you know a friend or loved one who is suffering from a mood struggle, please invest sympathetically on their behalf.

Religious people give because  the  Good  Mood  Foundation  is furthering  the  Gospel of  Jesus Christ  by  faithfully  preaching  faith  to  unbelievers  and  repentance  to  believers.  Therefore, please invest from a religious perspective in the Good Mood Foundation.

Philanthropic people give because they like to fund worthwhile” causes with their personal and corporate assets.  Therefore, if you are philanthropically motivated, would you please prayerfully consider investing in this ministry? At the center of our mandate is to give a copy of this book to anyone who asks.

All three groups also receive a tax deductible receipt because the Good Mood Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Finally, please remember you are not giving your money directly to me but to a ministry. I do not receive any financial benefit from this ministry.  Also, keep in mind that I would prefer not to know who, or what amount, anyone gives to the ministry.  This allows me to minister more effectively.  I welcome ANY questions. Email me at GMFMinistry@aol.com or call toll-free at 1-877-GMF-8777.
