Take them
to Jesus, encourage a faith walk with God and
participation in the spiritual disciplines. Jesus Christ and His Word is what makes our ministry distinctly
different from other mental health advocacies.
Their ministries focus on education, research,
and advocating with governments and legislatures—and we
support them. However they do not, or cannot integrate
the spiritual dimension into their material—like we do!
To the unbeliever we preach the message of faith—Jesus
Christ died as a substitute for sinners and rose from
the dead on the third day. To the believer we preach the
message of repentance—turning away from sin.
Through this ministry Mike explains how he is
learning to use the spiritual disciplines to help him
have a good mood. There are many more spiritual
disciplines but the following ten are the ones that Mike
focuses his time on. They are:
1.
Praise and
worship.
2.
Walking in
step with the Holy Spirit.
3.
Bible
study.
4.
Service.
5.
Community
prayer.
6.
Mentoring
and accountability relationships.
7.
Small
groups.
8.
Submission.
9.
Church
involvement.
10.
Honoring
personal commitments.
Many people are inquiring about the Star of David and Cross image
on the back of Mike’s book and his personal testimony.
Most are fascinated with Mike’s background as a Jew and
His acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Jewish Messiah.
Mike says,
“Christianity IS the fulfillment of Judaism.” If you
have questions about this, here are several ministries
you may want to investigate.
